It's difficult to explain one's personal relationship with Jehovah. It's like being in love. I talk to Him in prayers, He answers me with actions.

hello there i am new to the faith and have been studying for about a month.
i am very excited and hungry for the truth and have not missed a meeting or study since the memorial.
we do about 2 bible studies a week.
jnj, always remember that the most important thing is your personal relationship with Jehovah. Whatever draws you closer to Him, that is what you should do. Don't ever let anyone or anything get between you and Jehovah.
for example does money represent to you power, love, joy and much more or does money represent to you feelings of worry, guilt, anger, sadness.. for myself i have always enjoyed living largely on little, and i can appreciate that the best things in life are free.
having said that i am glad i have been fortunate and sensible enough with money to never have exsperienced the anxiety of debt.
and it may sound silly but i dont think winning it big on the lottery would improve the quality of my life nor my family.
Money is a tool to help humans accomplish Jehovah's will on earth.

cofty, for me, lifeforce is Jehovah's holy spirit.

But Island Man also has a good point. The Greek word for "spirit" comes from a root word meaning "breathe or blow." The Hebrew word for "spirit" is believed to come from a root having the same meaning. Both words for "spirit" basically mean "breath" but have extended meanings beyond that basic sense.

The Hebrew and Greek words which are often translated "spirit" have a number of meanings. All of them refer to that which is invisible to human sight and which gives evidence of force in motion.
The Hebrew and Greek words are used with reference to: wind; the active lifeforce in earthly creatures; the impelling force that issues from a person's figurative heart and that causes him to say and do things in a certain way; inspired utterances originating with an invisible source; spirit persons; God's active force, or holy spirit.
Such invisible force is capable of producing visible effects.

at the risk of being shouted down, i thought i'd point out that "tithing" means giving 10 percent of your income to a church.
it comes from the old english word teogotha meaning tenth.
i've seen nothing that establishes tithing in the watchtower.. while i'm all in favor of pointing out the watchtower's lies, hypocrisies and faults, the language we use matters.
They're trying to justify their own disobedience to Jehovah by making up lies against JW's.
It's not going to work, as they will soon find out.

Even the anointed apostles were not perfect, and yet they had Jehovah's favor.
Jehovah does the best that can be done with imperfect people in an imperfect world.
